Abstract

After the nearly three-year period during which humanity worldwide faced a life-threatening situation, the fortunate production of this magnificent book emerges: The Vocation of Being a University Student: Social Practices and School Identity in Post-Pandemic Times, authored by Alfonso Díaz Tovar, Rubén Castillo Rodríguez, and Uriel Escobar Durán (2025). Their work contributes to building a historical and collective memory of how the not-so-distant COVID-19 pandemic impacted, affected, and ultimately transformed—in clear and significant ways—the institutional and collective interactions, as well as the everyday life that university students have been resignifying and reconstructing in the current post-pandemic period.
